Lab & Diagnostic Testing: What to Expect
To ensure you receive the highest quality of care, our clinic follows a standard procedure for all laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic requisitions. Please review the steps below so you know what to expect before and after your test.
1. Completing Your Test
- When a physician orders a test (such as blood work, X-rays, or ultrasounds), you will be given a requisition form or have it sent directly to the facility.
- Please complete your test promptly at your preferred local laboratory or diagnostic center.
- Turnaround times vary, but most standard results arrive within 3 to 7 business days.
2. Reviewing Results
- All incoming test results are carefully reviewed by our medical team.
- Critically urgent: Our office will contact you directly to expedite your care.
- Normal or non-urgent: The clinic does not routinely call patients to report normal findings.
3. Your Responsibility
- It is the patient's responsibility to book a follow-up appointment to review and discuss their test results.
- Follow-up is essential part of managing symptoms even if results are normal.
- When to book: Approximately one week after completing your test.
Thank you for partnering with us in actively managing your healthcare!

Upcoming Projects
March 20, 2026
Our Adult Diabetes Practice Quality Improvement (PQI) initiative focuses on delivering smarter, more connected care for people living with diabetes.
We are beginning by accurately identifying our adult patients with diabetes to ensure no one is overlooked, and aligning their care with the most current, evidence-based clinical guidelines to support optimal treatment decisions and timely access to therapies.
Beyond clinical goals, we are committed to listening—capturing your voice through Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs)—to better understand how diabetes care affects your daily life, treatment experience, and overall well-being.
To support this, we are utilising secure digital summaries that compile your key health information in one place. These summaries enhance care coordination, reduce duplication, improve safety, and allow both patients and providers to monitor progress over time in a clear, accessible manner. They also facilitate more personalised, proactive care by integrating clinical data with your reported outcomes and experiences.
If you are an adult living with diabetes and receive care through our clinic, you may be eligible to participate. Join us in shaping a more responsive, patient-centred model of diabetes care—your experience matters, and your voice will directly influence how we improve.
